Pentagon: No Purple Hearts Awarded For PTSD

Story.

I am glad. I don't like to see the standards for awarding US military decorations watered down.

  1. As much as I feel for those suffering with PTSD, and as much as I think our country must support them, in this decision, the DOD is 100% correct.

    The Purple Heart should not be awarded to officers with hangnails, bumps and scratches either. It destroys the significance of the decoration when awarded properly.
