In Waco, Texas, a man was attacked by a hotel roommate after farting.

Forrest accused one of his men of cowardice after a battle, and the man returned with a pistol and shot Forrest. Forrest, trimming his fingernails with a pen knife at the time, shouted No man kills me and lives! and stabbed the man with the pen knife, which resulted in his death a short time later.
