Well, That Didn't Take Long

It apparently took only two hours into the new year for Charlotte to have its first murder.

A man died after he was shot in the head early Sunday after a New Years Eve party at a club in east Charlotte.

Police identified the man as Brandon Jermaine Covington, 19. He was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center. His death was the first homicide of 2012.

He appears to have been a convicted felon.
