Read This Without Weeping, If You Can

A pair of Welsh octogenarians, married for over 60 years, were told by bureaucrats that they would have to separate in order to receive nursing home care. They decided to suicide together rather than face that fate.



God DAMN all faceless bureaucrats that tell people such things!

    As a lifelong Anglophile, I greatly regret that "Stupidity" and "UK" are rapidly becoming synonymous.

    Faced with the same choice, I really don't know what I'd do. Do you?

    I don't think anyone can really say what they'd do in that situation until they are confronted with it. As for me, my marriage broke up over 20 years ago and I've never remarried; I'm guessing I'll die a bachelor.

    I would go Guy Fawkes on them first. Wake up sleeping people, socialism will kill your spirit, then your mind, and finally your body. You really need a revolution.
