Glad We Cleared That Up

Over at Reason magazine, they actually did a survey of random Americans, asking them to define an "assault weapon" in a few words:

Here's some of the replies. An Assault Weapon is:

A SEMI AUTOMATIC

A MACHINE GUN

SOMETHING THAT CAN KILL AND HURT PEOPLE REAL BAD MAKE THEM BECOME DISABLE OR LOOSE THEIR LIFE

MACHINE GUNS A GUN WHERE YOU CAN PUT IN A MILLION BULLETS

ANYTHING THAT IS NOT A PISTOL.

SHOTGUN

ONES THAT CAN SHOOT LONGER BULLETS

A WEAPON THAT WAS CONCEIVED ILLEGALLY

A KNIFE AND A GUN

THEY DANGEROUS

IS A WEAPON UMM WHICH SOUL PURPOSE IS USE IN KILLING PEOPLE

    And don't forget, "Big Sis" Napolitano just defined DHS's purchase of 7,000 AR-15s as "personal defense weapons."
