Yes, that's the flag lying on the floor, along with a stand and notebook that allows the lil' chirrens to record how standing on their country's flag makes them "feel." I have to guess that most traditionally-raised Americans would feel like Wesley in this scene from The Princess Bride:
Reading further down in the story the "teacher" involved in the flag desecration expresses regret

Yep, her only regret is she got caught... That this would even be CONSIDERED is unconscionable.
This seems to crop up all over the place, even in rural school establishments.
The problem is this - leftists are encouraged to become teachers, and teachers are aculturated in most schools of education to become leftist progressives. Then they join unions who are positively Alinskyite in their anti-American theology ( vists the NEA website and read what they unblushingly write).
Parents and citizens allow this to happen. Its time for the peasants to march on the manor house with pitchforks and torches and have a discussion with Dr. Frankenstein.
As for me - it physically makes me want to vomit.
This is not unintentional , it was well thought out. It is intended to shock and dismay.
It is like the University of Florida ( or East Florida or similar) incident last year where students in a sociology (?) class were tasked with writing the name " Jesus" on a sheet of paper and then stomping on the paper in class, after which they were supposed to write about how it felt. One commentator asked why the leftist progressive professor ( vice-chair of the county Democrat Party, btw) didnt have his class stomp on the name "Mohammed" - the professor declined comment.
Nothing new. I hope she gets fired- she is not fit to teach.
