Clint Eastwood is on record as saying he won't make a last "Dirty Harry" movie, but you can squint your eyes a bit and see Harry in the protagonist of Eastwood's new movie, Gran Torino.
(review of the movie here.)
It's Eastwood at his Harry-like best: snarling, talking through tightly-clenched teeth, kicking ass unashamedly.
Want a pic? Take a look:
That's the man himself with an M1 Garand, and the movie title car in the background.
Update: apparently it's only showing in select theaters this weekend, and doesn't go to general release until January 9th.

Nothing says "Get off my lawn" like the M1 Garand. Just for anyone who doesn't know, General Patton called it "The greatest implement of battle ever devised." Patton knew a lot about such matters.
The destructive power of this instrument is completely off the scale set by modern "assault rifles." You can fatally wound a tank with one of these. Dirty Harry's 44 Mag is like a child's toy in comparison. And this is exactly the correct rifle for this character, a Korean War vet to keep. I only wish my dad were still here to watch this movie. Yeah, he had one and left it to me.
Oh, what a wonderful gift to leave a son. You're very lucky, I hope you treasure it.
This movie is a gotta see. Never doubt an old man with a gun.
If the past is any indication, there will probably be a run on M1 Garands and 1911's after the movie comes out.
