A cabal of leftist BBC scriptwriters tried to cause the fall of Margaret Thatcher's Conservative government during the 1980's.
Pretty heinous, since the BBC is funded by a national UK television license and is supposed to be politically neutral.

Lady Thatcher's reputation remains intact, but those were the years that killed off the Doctor.
Usually, the liberals lie and claim they're just producing the movies and TV shows that people want. When it goes that badly they cannot even pretend.
Sylvester McCoy was arguably the worst Doctor of the bunch, and he pretty much tanked the series. So it's not surprising to find out that he was a faggy liberal, too.
