Distilled wisdom from the Master. Found it for about $3, I notice it's hard to come by, Amazon sells used copies for over $50.

Nice find.

An interesting complement would be The Devil's Dictionary. I have no idea (although I would dearly love to know) if there's a definition for the same term from each book.

I'd think a "Compare and Contrast" might get some traffic, knowing our readers ...

@Borepatch: I have copies of The Devil's Dictionary already. The Notebooks of Lazarus Long are dissimilar from The Devil's Dictionary in that they are comprised of excerpts from Heinlein books, most of which aren't defined words (although some are, as in the example I provided in my entry.)

Another series of books similar to The Devil's Dictionary are The Portable Curmudgeon and its sequels put out by Jon Winokur. I don't know if they're still in print, but they're worth searching out.
