When we first moved to the rental property we are in now, the yard was in bad shape. None of the previous tenants had cared for the yard, and a small piece along the driveway was actually becoming an erosion gully. After a couple of years of living here, we're starting to see improvement; here are the before and after photos:
I'm fairly pleased.

Nicely done, old son. :)
Got it looking GOOD! It's not hard, it's just time well spent to make the place look better.
Nice!
BIG improvement! Curb-appeal has a lot to do with nice neighborhoods.
I wish I could make my lawn look like that. The weeds flourish, the grass dies. The greenest grass I ever grew was when I spilled grass seed on the asphalt driveway... And it grew like the dickens! Yet two feet over I had brown dirt. I can't figure it out.
(In my defense, I actually paid a lawn company to do my lawn for a year. They didn't get any results either.)
