I wonder how many of you have thought about the remainder of Kyle Rittenhouse's life. He's only 18 - - has all of his life before him. If he's found guilty, he will be branded a felon, with all the negative consequences that come with that - - prison worst of all, but loss of civil rights for an extended period and the likelihood of never having a good career. Even if he is acquitted of all charges, who will hire him, with the baggage that he carries? Employers will worry that Rittenhouse will be targeted by enemies, and some will worry that he's not inherently trustworthy to begin with because he intentionally went in harm's way and ended up killing two people and maiming a third.
There are plenty of people who view him as a hero, though, and would be willing to take him on - - but like others who have become national figures unintentionally - - Bernhard Goetz and George Zimmerman - - Rittenhouse will carry the Mark of Cain the rest of his days.

Nonsense. The "mark of cain" is for those who murder without justification. Not for those who are defending their own lives. Abel didn't attack Cain and get killed when Cain defended himself. Rittenhouse has done nothing wrong. He has no reason to feel guilty in that respect. And we have none for even suggesting it.
It's not OUR opinion of his guilt or innocence that matters. The media has marked him. I hope Nick Sandman's lawyers have already contacted Rittenhouse's family and they are building the lawsuits.
