That's How Anti-Venom Is Made, You Know

Do you know how anti-venom for snakebite and other venomous creatures is made? A sub-lethal dose of venom is injected into a subject animal - - a horse or sheep, usually - - and, over a period of weeks, the dosage is increased. The animal manufactures antibodies to cope with the venom, and after a while, the animal becomes totally immune to the venom, at which point blood is drawn from the animal to manufacture into anti-venom. Herpetologist William Haast did the same thing by injecting himself with a cocktail of sub-lethal snake venoms until he became immune to most snakebites (he lived until nearly 100, also, which might say something about the therapy).

Why am I mentioning this? Because it's the approach that the MSM is mistakenly taking in attacking Donald Trump. It's been well known that the MSM is sitting on plenty of dirt that they have dug up on Trump, and teams of journalists (the Washington Post alone has assigned 50 reporters to dig up dirt) busy 24/7 digging up more. They intend to trickle this dirt out a little at a time, thinking that Trump will suffer from an extended attack, rather than release it all at once. Well, think about it. All they are really doing is making Trump, and the voters, immune to the venom (stories) that they have dug up. Will it work? We'll see on Election Day.

Time magazine editor Mark Halperin called President Obama "a dick" when asked his opinion of the President's performance during the Wednesday news conference.

Halperin is, no doubt, locked in an MSM cell at this very moment, feeding tube inserted, and large quantities of liberal Kool-Aid is being poured down his throat. He should be all better in a day or so.

New York Times False Premise Headline of the Day

Let me just fix that up for you a bit:

In The Wild, A Big Threat To Rangers: Criminals.

The article posits the premise that park rangers are under more threat than ever from armed humans in wilderness areas, and that this is a result of the 2009 law that gave law-abiding citizens the right to be armed in national parks. Yet every example cited in the article is a criminal misuse of a gun or the possession of a gun during a crime, which the 2009 law had no effect over. You didn't have a bunch of criminals waiting for the 2009 law to pass so that they could carry guns in national parks; they did so already.

Rangers are in no danger from law-abiding citizens with guns, which is what the 2009 law addressed. Just the opposite may someday occur, in fact: an armed citizen may come to the aid of a ranger in conflict with a criminal.

Meanwhile, Down In Rock Hill, South Carolina...

...the opinion page editor of the local MSM outlet tries to make a point about multiculturalism and tolerance by comparing Islamic terrorists to...wait for it...the Amish.

So much of the media's behavior is dictated by its partisan sympathies and regard for social standing amongst their own. The Clintons are beloved by most in these institutions, so no editor with any concern for his future career or future standing among his peers would ever take this assignment; no house would sign a check.

But for a woman they hate -- a woman they've dehumanized as The Other -- then a provable scumbag gets signed up to talk his ignorant lies to an also-paid-for ghostwriter.

Remember how quickly the Reverend Wright story faded? ABCNews finally broke the story (after it was available for years, and after Obama had taken care of Hillary Clinton), and was attacked relentlessly by the left. JournoList, for example, schemed about how to punish ABCNews for reporting genuine news. (Belatedly, as hell.)

Those schemes on JournoList were not some aberration -- that was the shared sentiment of the entirety of the corrupt leftist media.

And those at ABC News who'd finally done their jobs felt the heat, felt the not-so-subtle social pressure, got the message from their peers that they were doing a Great Evil by doing their jobs.
