The Douk-Douk is the lesser known of France's two famous knives for working men, the other is the Opinel. You can read more about Douk-Douks at Wikipedia. I bought mine from Amazon, $23.50, shipping was free.

@Rev. Paul: They're similar to the German "Cat" knife, but much sturdier construction, with a strong spring. Very thin blade that sharpens up easily. In an emergency you can turn one into a serviceable weapon simply by bashing the metal liners shut.
