Remember the boy who was found chained in the yard of a Monroe, NC home with a dead chicken tied around his neck?
The details of the boy's story are utterly horrific.

Meanwhile, Just South of Monroe, NC...
...where they chain foster children to the porch with a dead chicken tied to its neck...
Later on, of course, they progress to tying people to trees and making them squeal like pigs:
A Union County social worker was one of two adults charged with intentional child abuse Friday after deputies found a child handcuffed to a porch with a dead chicken around his neck.
Dorian Lee Harper and Wanda Sue Larson, both 57, have been charged with numerous offenses after a deputy discovered the child at 4116 Austin Road, south of Monroe, authorities said.
Larson is employed as a supervisor with Union County Department of Social Services. She and Harper had adopted four children and were serving as foster parents for a fifth child, officials said.
A deputy was responding to an animal services complaint at a neighboring home Friday when he walked up to Harper’s and Larson’s residence and saw a “10-12-year-old child secured to the front porch at the ankle, by what appeared to be a pair of handcuffs,” officials said.
“The child also had a dead chicken hanging around his neck and appeared to be shivering,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
Larson was not present when the children were discovered but is accused of being complicit in the ongoing mistreatment of the children, the Sheriff’s Office said. She was also charged with willful failure to discharge her duty as a public official.
The child handcuffed to the porch is the 11-year-old Harper and Larson had been fostering, authorities said. The children are now in custody of an undisclosed social services agency outside Union County.
Well, that ought to discourage immigration to this part of North Carolina for the forseeable future.
Update: It's on Drudge, so now the whole world knows about it.

When You Say Our Military Won't Confront Gun Owners...
...keep this story in the back of your mind.
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. -- A Saucier, Miss., hunter suspects his father's deer dog is dead.
H.W. Krohn doesn't have proof, just a bloody collar he's turned over to Naval Construction Battalion Center investigators and a sad story to tell.
Krohn has hunted the woods around Mississippi 15 for most of his 57 years, and more than once he's had a few deer dogs end up on Camp Keller, where the military's Woolmarket Rifle & Pistol Range is located.
Usually the dogs come back out the same way they went in -- through a barbed-wire fence in the back of the ammunitions range off Mississippi 67, he said.
On Dec. 29, Krohn's father's 2-year-old Walker named Lil Gray and another dog ran a yearling deer onto the federal property.
The dogs had trailed the deer for eight to 10 miles, crossing several roads before they slipped through the fence at the back of the rifle range.
That area is off limits to civilians and "keep out" signs are posted around the chain-link and barbed-wire fenced property, NCBC Public Affairs Officer Rob Mims said.
Krohn believes a Navy security officer shot and killed the two dogs that day while he and the other dog's owner were calling for them from outside the fence.
Click the link to read the rest. Militant gun owners often claim that police and military won't confront them in an any sort of gun ban/confiscation scenario, that the two groups will put their oath to the Constitution above their duty as government employees. Existing research, such as the Milgram Obedience To Authority Experiment and the Stanford Prison Experiment tend to contradict this belief.

Beaten, Raped, Burned...*Yawn*
It's no big deal, she was just a drug-abusing whore.
A story that should be getting more attention than it is: the horrifying last hours of Celeste Fronsman.
"I caught her and picked her up in my arms," the man said. "I told her I was going to lay her in the grass and knew then that God had put me there for her."
As the man laid Fronsman down in the grass, he said she kept crying for him to help her.
"I assured her that I wouldn't leave her, but I wanted to get the blanket out of the truck to cover her with," he said. "She didn't want to let go of my hand and she was gasping for air. Her skin was just hanging off her."
After getting the blanket and a bottle of Gatorade, the man gently held Fronsman's head so she could drink the Gatorade.
"She was still gasping for air, and I noticed that she had a 2-inch strap wrapped around her neck that had burned into her," he said. "I told her that I was going to loosen the strap so she could breathe better, but knew not to take it completely off because I knew the police would need it."
Click the link to read more. More information here.
So far, only USA Today and ABC News have covered the story, and it happened on Sunday. Is the value of a whore's life in the US so low that it's only a local outrage?
Jesus wept.

Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother
A distressing story from my hometown of Gainesville, Florida.
A Gainesville man dumped his 75-year-old father out of his wheelchair, beat and kicked him repeatedly, then left him lying on the floor for three days, police said.
Click the link if you wish to read the rest. It's a sordid tale that happens all too often.

"Good Night, Westley, Sleep Well...
...I'll most likely kill you in the morning."
Remember that scene from The Princess Bride? Well, back in WWII, a similar scenario occurred:
Under the blazing sun, Andy Coogan — his body emaciated by dysentery, malnutrition, years of crushing slave labour and the beatings administered by vicious guards — scratched away at the jungle floor, digging a grave for his dead mate, Speedy, one of hundreds who succumbed to Japanese brutality in the work camp where they were held as British prisoners-of-war.
Out of respect — a scant commodity in that Pacific hell-hole — he dug deep to bury his friend out of the reach of scavenging animals, deeper than the sadistic Lieutenant Suzuki in charge of the detail had demanded.
The Japanese officer, furious at being disobeyed, screamed at him to stop but Coogan — skeletal and dressed in nothing more than a loincloth — ploughed on until Speedy was decently buried.
As he finished and put down his spade, Suzuki eyed him coldly. ‘Dig another grave,’ he then ordered, ‘for yourself. Tomorrow you die.’
It was a threat the terrified Coogan had no doubt would be carried out as he spent a sleepless night, ticking down his last hours on earth. He had suffered every form of physical abuse as a prisoner of the Japanese since the fall of Singapore in February 1942.
He had been starved and beaten to a pulp, seen comrades used as bayonet practice, heard the swish of canes and samurai swords, witnessed heads lopped from shoulders, felt the victor’s heel on his own neck and escaped by the skin of his teeth for three-and-a-half terrible years.
But now it seemed his endurance and his courage would be to no avail. The end had come. He was doomed.
Come the morning, however, there was another dead POW to dispose of from the over-crowded, fly-blown, rat-infested huts. Coogan buried the fresh corpse, and Suzuki told him again. ‘Dig another grave, for tomorrow you die.’
The same happened the next day, and the one after that. The mental torture continued for days, until Suzuki tired of the game.

Child Molester Killed In Prison
Story.
The convicted child molester who was strangled over the weekend while serving a 20-year sentence at McCormick Correctional Institution was mutilated and his body went undiscovered for some time, possibly for hours, state officials said Tuesday afternoon.
His cellmate, John Michael New, 32, who is serving a life sentence for hostage-taking, was charged with murder, according to an arrest warrant made public by the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.
New is charged with killing Ricky Cooper, 49, who was found dead late Saturday morning in a common area in front of a shower near his cell, according to prison officials.
Wonder why he wasn't in the Protective Custody Unit? Either he thought he was safe in the general population, or maybe he got transferred out of PC for pissing off someone.
I don't personally gloat when men are raped or killed in prison, no matter how much they might deserve it. When they stood before the judge to be sentenced for their crimes, (s)he didn't add and I also sentence you to be gang-raped on a regular basis and killed for simply trespassing into another inmate's personal space, or looking at him funny. This is the United States of America, and we're supposed to be better than that.
Think about it, and have some empathy. There but for the grace of God and proper upbringing go you yourself.

Headline of the Day
"Charges Dismissed For Baby Rat Eater."
Which could mean an infant that eats rats, or a person that eats baby rats. The story makes it clear that it's the latter, but the headline isn't at all clear. It's very similar to Johnny Carson's old "baby doctor" routine.

It Was An Assault Spoon, No Doubt
In Prichard, Alabama, a man gouged his uncle's eyes out with a spoon.
No word on whether it was a high-capacity tablespoon.
Or perhaps it was one of those plastic spoons, the kind that can pass through an airport metal detector? Ban 'em. Ban 'em all, I say.
FOR THE CHILDREN!

It Must Suck Being A Public Defender
A 22-year-old man raped a 92-year-old woman.
Well, the jury did its job and found him guilty, and even noticed aggravating factors that would keep this raping SOB in prison for 85 years. Hooray! Jury did the right thing!
But wait a minute, the rapist's public defender, doing her job, argues that it's too much:
“He’s 22,” public defender Carol Cline said of her client. “If there were no sentencing enhancements he’s probably going to be in his 60s when he gets out. The upward departure (in sentence) means he never gets out.”
Well, yes, that's the plan. But Cline wasn't done defending the rapist:
Cline argued before Johnson County Judge Stephen Tatum that the jury did not have sufficient cause to recommend the stiffer sentence. She said the state did not do a scientific risk assessment to determine if he posed a future danger to society.
She also challenged the contention that the enhanced sentence was justified by the victim’s age and infirmity.
“She was sharp as a tack,” Cline said of the woman, who managed to call 911 during the attack. “She did all the smart things she was able to do and she was not severely injured.”
And your point is?
Cline said the attack on the victim only lasted a couple of minutes and the rape Angilda committed “was not necessarily worse than the average” rape. She also noted that Angilda faces a longer sentence than he would have if he had murdered the woman.
So in other words, it was rape-lite. Not really "rape-rape."
Cue Whoopi:
How soul-destroying must it be to work for raping pukes like this?

Renfield Wants a Kitten
Actually, Michael Vick wants a dog.
19 July--We are progressing. My friend has now a whole colony of sparrows, and his flies and spiders are almost obliterated. When I came in he ran to me and said he wanted to ask me a great favour, a very, very great favour. And as he spoke, he fawned on me like a dog.
I asked him what it was, and he said, with a sort of rapture in his voice and bearing, "A kitten, a nice, little, sleek playful kitten, that I can play with, and teach, and feed, and feed, and feed!"
I was not unprepared for this request, for I had noticed how his pets went on increasing in size and vivacity, but I did not care that his pretty family of tame sparrows should be wiped out in the same manner as the flies and spiders. So I said I would see about it, and asked him if he would not rather have a cat than a kitten.
His eagerness betrayed him as he answered, "Oh, yes, I would like a cat! I only asked for a kitten lest you should refuse me a cat. No one would refuse me a kitten, would they?"

Forced To Dig Your Own Grave?
I understand the instinct for self-preservation, and how you'd want to prolong your life for as long as possible, but what self-respecting man or woman would let someone force him/her to dig his own grave?
Why wouldn't you just look the bastard in the eye and say Get it over with, fucker. I'm not going to dig.
Let's have a poll. I'm going to phrase this very carefully, so consider the options before making the knee-jerk response, look honestly into your own mind and give the response you'd probably give to the person holding the gun on you:

Big Brother Jails Abusive Cop
I rag on the UK a lot for its nanny-statism, its coddling of criminals and its criminalizing of self-defense and self-defense tools (guns), but I have to admit that they are far harsher on abusive and crooked cops than we are here in the US, treating them far more like common citizens than Angels In Blue, which happens all too often here.
In this case the abusive cop was only caught because of the pervasive Big Brother closed-circuit TV monitoring that goes on routinely in the UK, so I'm conflicted. The CCTV was employed in the cause of justice in this case, but all too often you hear stories of CCTV footage being used to harass citizens for minor infractions such as littering or failing to clean up their pet's waste.

Ha Ha Ha, I Was Just Joking
The usual practice, when confronted by overwhelming evidence of cruelty/insensitivity is to attempt to pass it off as a joke.
Thus, these hilarious examples:
'That b****y maid needs a good slap. Some ppl [sic] here have no idea what it's like having servants.
'I'm sorry but being on call 24/7 and not having a day off for months and not being allowed to leave the house DOESN'T make you a slave.'
Or maybe it was just taken out of context. That's a popular way to get out of taking responsibility for your actions/words.

They Made Porky Squeal
Two off-duty employees of Six Flags Great America in Illinois attacked a female employee who was wearing a Porky Pig outfit at the time.
Hard to figure out how to treat this one. If they'd raped her, then Porky gets porked suggests itself; and I can always drag out the ol' "squeal like a pig" clip from Deliverance.
Oh, well. I'll consider this one a failed blog post.

Maybe He Watched "Troy" On TV Recently...
...and thought that he'd emulate Achilles.
And, (just expressing an opinion here) it seems to me to be another case of self-image insecurity here that might have motivated the murder; take a look at the suspect:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but he doesn't appear to be of the purest Aryan stock, here. Just sayin'. He may be similar to those fag-bashers who secretly doubt their masculinity, or those Germans during the Nazi era who worried about Jewish blood in their veins.
You can bet, though, that the main focus of the MSM will be whether they can connect him to the Tea Party movement.
