"If A&E wants the Robertsons to make money for the channel by being authentic, then at some point A&E has to accept that reality stars will be real human beings," McCall added. "If A&E didn't like the Robertsons as they are, then why did they give them a weekly platform?"

So there you are. Just part of the sideshow.

The 88-year old pedophile recently finished serving a jail term for his offense, which occurred 35 years ago.

Certainly the dead neighbor is now among the blessed, but can this ancient child molester be redeemed by the blood of his dead neighbor/protector?

These priests, bishops and cardinals need to be either de-frocked, or if Canon Law doesn't permit that, reassigned to monasteries to live as hermits for the rest of their natural lives, never to be allowed the privilege of ministering to the public ever again. The Church certainly has enough half-empty monasteries to hold all the offenders.

And no more gay priests, IMO. Much of what is called "pedophilia" in regard to the scandals in the church is nothing but old-fashioned pederasty: grown men diddling pubescent male youths. Make homosexuality a disqualifying trait for the priesthood and you'll clean up nearly all of the problem. Sorry if you don't like that, gay men.

The Druid Diddling the Kids

Over in Wilmington, NC, the "urban arborist" has been arrested for child sexual abuse.

The city of Wilmington's urban arborist was arrested Thursday on a fugitive warrant stemming from charges of child sexual abuse, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Brion Capo, 57, was arrested on the out-of-state warrant for charges of one count of sodomy and one count of sex abuse of a child under 12, according to Russ Fields of the U.S. Marshals Service.

The charges involve one victim out of the Mobile, Ala., area, Fields said via email. The arrest warrant was issued June 22 after a Mobile County, Ala., grand jury came down with an indictment, Bryan Konig, deputy U.S. Marshal, said. It is unclear when the alleged incident occurred.

Child Molester Killed In Prison

Story.

The convicted child molester who was strangled over the weekend while serving a 20-year sentence at McCormick Correctional Institution was mutilated and his body went undiscovered for some time, possibly for hours, state officials said Tuesday afternoon.

His cellmate, John Michael New, 32, who is serving a life sentence for hostage-taking, was charged with murder, according to an arrest warrant made public by the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.

New is charged with killing Ricky Cooper, 49, who was found dead late Saturday morning in a common area in front of a shower near his cell, according to prison officials.

Wonder why he wasn't in the Protective Custody Unit? Either he thought he was safe in the general population, or maybe he got transferred out of PC for pissing off someone.

I don't personally gloat when men are raped or killed in prison, no matter how much they might deserve it. When they stood before the judge to be sentenced for their crimes, (s)he didn't add and I also sentence you to be gang-raped on a regular basis and killed for simply trespassing into another inmate's personal space, or looking at him funny. This is the United States of America, and we're supposed to be better than that.

Think about it, and have some empathy. There but for the grace of God and proper upbringing go you yourself.

He Was Swiftboated, No Doubt

One of Senator John F. Kerry's Navy buddies, a Silver Star recipient and Captain by the name of Wade Sanders, who introduced Kerry at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, is serving a 37-month prison sentence for possessing child pornography.

In addition, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has revoked Sanders' Silver Star for reasons unrelated to kiddie porn; apparently the events cited to get Sanders the Silver Star were as inconsequential as the tiny splinter Kerry used to win one of his Purple Hearts.
