Turn Full Circle
Remember No Irish Need Apply?
Works both ways:
It is hardly the way to win over tourists, but this Irish cafe doesn't seem to care.
Peter's Place, a pretty eatery in County Kerry, has placed a notice in its window banning 'loud American's from entering.
The cafe lists the undesirables it would prefer not to receive in its establishment, including bus and coach tours and rowdy tourists from across the Pond.

Irony of the Day
Here:
I'm not and never have been a marijuana smoker, never even tried it in high school. I think it's more useful these days as a pretext for government, especially police, interference with your freedom, and as such is a bad thing.
A pot-smoker just became most decorated Olympian in history. The "gateway drug" can indeed be gateway to greatness: thebea.st/Nbd9xs

Must Be Hell To Be Burdened With a "Conscience Thing."
Lucky for us the former Speaker of the House of Representatives isn't so burdened.
Why, yes, that was an example of irony. Thank you for noticing!

Irony of the Day
The same day that a Charlotte/Mecklenburg Police Department tasing of a Usual Suspect® to death resulted in a ten million dollar judgment against the Taser Corporation, the CMPD...tases another Usual Suspect® to death.
Here is the story of the lawsuit judgment.
I think what is happening is that the CMPD has the notion that a Taser is a portable Old Sparky.

Irony of the Day
MANTEO | Firefighters who have been working on a 70-mile-square wildfire near the North Carolina coast are expecting no relief this week as heat continues to plague the area.
The North Carolina Department of Natural Resources says helicopters were dropping water on flare ups Sunday on the west size of the blaze near Stumpy Point in Dare County.
Think that there might be a reason it's called Stumpy Point?
