Abby Stone, Winter's trainer, says, "Working with this prosthetic, it's never been done before so a lot of it's trial and error, but to see her really appreciate and to pick up the concept of using the tail, its one of those things you don't get to experience a lot."
Winter was rescued from an abandoned crab trap and lost her tail in the process. She's in rehab at Clearwater Marine Aquarium and continues to improve. As she grows, new prosthetic tails are made for her.
