A liberal NC state employee resigned rather than lower the US flag to half-mast to honor the death of former NC Senator Jesse Helms.
He tried to Burger King at first--have it his way--but the state of NC challenged him, so he actually acted on the courage of his convictions and resigned. I applaud him for being a man about it.
Of course, he'll probably file a lawsuit...
