The mutton BBQ of Kentucky, centered around Owensboro. Anyone tried it?

Never had mutton, but at the Greek Festival here they put a lot of year old lambs (almost full grown, but not quite mutton) on a spit over coals and roast them. They usually baste them with a mix of wine, olive oil, and lemon juice. Good eating.
