...but if you were in the US Army and used the M16A2 rifle, you should consider thanking John Struve.
Struve, a former soldier himself who later worked for the Small Arms System Agency at Aberdeen Proving Ground, designed an improved muzzle compensator for the M16A2 that made it more accurate in full-auto fire.
