Apparently the Taliban are using Skype phones to communicate and coordinate attacks.
And the Daily Mail mentions in their report that the US and UK governments are spending tons of money on technology to intercept these calls, and pressuring providers of Skype to turn over records of users.
I'm conflicted when I read stories like this. On the one hand, I like to be informed, but on the other, I'm fully aware that stories like this caused Osama bin Laden and other Al Qaeda leaders to stop using cell phones to communicate, thus crippling an intelligence effort that could have resulted in his death or capture.
