I love that Monty Python sketch.
As to the Limey, I can't say that their job in Basra was very impressive. I mean, it took the Iraquis to restore order. Ouch.
@Borepatch: if I recall, the latter stages of the British presence in Basra consisted of them huddling in their tiny compounds, whimpering.
It's true enough that our guys are dressed for war, not for socializing. But, I'll be damned if we're going to take criticism from a country that sends guys into battle wearing shorts.
