In truth, everyone in north Florida knows what the Ichetucknee is: the Ichetucknee River, fed by the Ichetucknee Springs. Riding down the river on an inner tube is an old Florida tradition for teenagers.
Yet Another Reason To Go Heeled, although if you're going to go heeled on an inner tube on the Ichetucknee River, I'd recommend your weapon be stainless steel and carried in a waterproof bag or box. Probably a knife is better for otter attacks on the water. Just pretend you're Johnny Weissmuller with a crocodile. Coincidentally, Johnny's Tarzan movie underwater scenes were filmed in Florida, too, at Silver Springs, a bit further south than Ichetucknee.
