Thoughts On Sarah Palin

To put it in simple terms, I think that Sarah Palin is operating at the level of a high school freshman in the political game; Barack Obama is operating at the level of a college graduate; Joe Biden and John McCain, of course, have advanced degrees that work out to the equivalent of doctorates in politics.

Do I think that Sarah Palin is stuck at the freshman high school level of political education? By no means, nor do I necessarily think it will take years in lesser political positions to catch up to Obama, Biden or McCain. Functioning as Vice President will broaden her political knowledge wonderfully, even if it's only a year or so before McCain kicks the bucket and leaves the job to her; more likely, however, is the probability that McCain will serve at least one term, and could even serve an entire two terms. At the end of those two terms, Sarah Palin will be as fully qualified as anyone can be to serve as President.
