There Was A Rumor About A Tumor...

...but it turned out to be an abscess, instead.

A man is suing UK's National Health Service for telling him he had an inoperable, terminal tumor and only six months to live.

Hey, it's free health care. They didn't say it would be accurate health care, now did they? No, they didn't.

In this case, I guess abscess does make the heart grow fonder. Then again, since he's suing, maybe not.

I wonder how difficult it is to successfully sue when the government runs health care?

@TOTWTYTR: any military man can tell you that: you can't sue when the government runs health care. It's called the Feres doctrine, if I remember correctly.

I think it's different in UK, since the guy is suing there. Here in the US the government will be conflicted; since there is a disproportionate number of lawyers in the Congress, they'd like to make it easy on their fraternity brothers to make money; at the same time, there won't be any savings or reform if citizens are allowed to sue for every case of government medical malpractice.
