Is it a law of some kind that air conditioners in the South only break down during the summer, and that furnaces in the North only break down during the winter?
Our AC is on the blink. The service people were called, and said that the compressor has seized up, so a new system (this one is 14 years old) is called for; a $6000 expense our landlord will have to pay, since we rent.
So fans have been purchased, and we're waiting word from the landlord (probably Monday) about when a new AC system will be installed. Hopefully it will be early next week.
