All of the episodes of this old classic show can be seen for free on the CBS website.
I was watching the episode The Great Mojave Chase this morning, featuring camels, which were introduced into the US as part of a US Army experiment. The experiment failed, but writer Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek fame wrote them into the script of this episode. Strangely enough, the camel shown in the show is a Bactrian (two-humped) camel from Asia, rather than an Arabian Dromedary (one-hump)camel.
Watching this old show is like a who's who of TV and movie stars from the 60's. If names like Charles Bronson, Jack Lord, Angie Dickinson, Claude Akins and Strother Martin mean anything to you, watch them here, young and in their prime.
I have a friend who is both a custom jeweler and also an American Bladesmith Society Journeman Smith, and one of the things he has acquired is a copy of one of the chess pieces that was on Paladin's (Richard Boone) black holster. For those who have never seen the show, Paladin wore a gun in a holster that looked like this:
Very handsome!
