Although the body armor that Deputy Jeff Martin wore was capable of stopping the shotgun pellets that hit him back in November, it was less successful at stopping a car that struck Martin during a traffic stop on Saturday.
No, Martin wasn't killed, only hospitalized. You'd have to wonder, after this latest episode, if Martin is perhaps in the wrong line of work.
