The Winner Brought a Knife To the Fistfight
In Schaumburg, IL, a Chicago suburb, two Usual Suspects engaged in what amounted to a duel, with the winner stabbing the loser to death.
The father of the dead combatant seems less concerned with his son's death than with the niceties not being observed, i.e., his son wasn't also armed with a knife.
It's very important in a duel to fix the terms beforehand, so both sides are sastified with the results of the duel. If you're willing for your son to be beaten to death with fists but not stabbed, you ensure that the duellists are not armed prior to starting the proceedings.
It's difficult to have any empathy for anyone involved in this stupidity.

Did Someone Leave a Ladder Around, Or What?
Just how did Tyrone get out on that roof to begin with?
A man has been apprehended after he fled onto a roof to avoid arrest.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning. According to officers, the man, who was identified as 35-year-old Tyrone Singleton, was wanted on charges of domestic violence and armed robbery.
In order to further avoid police, Singleton climbed on top of a roof at the location. Officers from the CMPD as well as detectives surrounded the area and attempted to negotiate the suspect to safety. Authorities were at the scene from 10:20 a.m. to approximately an hour later when officers climbed onto the roof with the suspect and brought him under arrest without further incident.

Brawl At NC Country Club - - Whodunnit?
If you read The Washington Post's account, you come away with the impression that it was a bunch of white peckerwoods. Read the comments, you'll see time and again the Lefty commenters sneering at rednecks, only to have readers who have done more research at UK NEWSPAPERS point out that the country club had rented to the Usual Suspects - - and suffered the usual consequences. Presumably the statement by country club representatives about tightening up standards will be defined as "no blacks under 60 years old" from this point forward.

Charlotte Cop Brought a Taser To a Gunfight
Luckily for her she had a gun, too, when the Taser didn't work out so well.
The incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. According to police, the officer is Michelle Brcik. Brcik had confronted the driver of a truck that broke down when she realized the vehicle was one that had been stolen from a home invasion the previous week.
The suspect, 32-year-old Darryll Douglas Clay, exited the truck with a gun and Brcik deployed her Taser. Then the confrontation escalated quickly into an exchange of gunfire, police said.
This one raises interesting questions. Why did she deploy the Taser first? Did she grab it from habit, having accustomed herself to grabbing it in other confrontations? Was she worried about shooting a black man? Is it department policy to only deploy Tasers first, and then guns? I hope there'll be more to the story.

Subway Worker In Mississippi Fired For Praising Murder of MS Cops - - Got 'Er!
She went on Facebook to gloat over the murder of two Hattiesburg, MS cops, posing in her Subway uniform.
Twitter and Facebook outrage ensued, and she is no longer employed. Which is a mixed bag of good and bad. Good, in that she has now been punished for her stupidity, and bad because she made herself unemployable to a large segment of the population, and is more likely to suck on taxpayer-funded benefits as a result.
(according to comments on Facebook about the story, the two Laurel, MS Subway locations are feeding first responders (cops and fire) free this week to atone for the worker's stupidity.)

Shooting To Wound?
I have to wonder in this case.
A teen who refused a Charlotte-Mecklenburg officer’s commands to drop a gun was shot by the officer Saturday night, according to Police Chief Rodney Monroe.
The teen, 14 or 15 years old, was hit in one leg and his wrists from the three or four shots fired by the police officer, according to Monroe at a news conference.
I wonder if the cop in this case was deliberately shooting to wound for reasons of political correctness, to prevent another Ferguson situation? Not that he couldn't simply be a lousy shot, he well could.

Don't Mess With Rufus

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Whitehaven woman, armed with a machete, took on a man who tried breaking into her home in the 5000 block of Horn Lake.
“I was swinging my machete thinking, ‘Chop him! Chop him! Chop him!'” Cheryl Nibley said.
She sprang into action Tuesday afternoon when she heard someone breaking into her house. “As I was talking to the police on the phone I was hearing my window coming up in my bedroom,” she said. “So I’m telling the police that he’s coming in the house! He’s coming in the house!”
As the window went up, Nibley brought her machete down over and over again. She has even given the machete a name, calling it Rufus. “Say hello to my little friend,” she teased, holding a foot-long knife up. “I chopped the blinds up. I chopped him up. I chopped the bed up.”

(10b) Stay out of heavily black neighborhoods.
(10c) If planning a trip to a beach or amusement park at some date, find out whether it is likely to be swamped with blacks on that date (neglect of that one got me the closest I have ever gotten to death by gunshot).
(10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks.
(10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible.
(10f) Do not settle in a district or municipality run by black politicians.
(10g) Before voting for a black politician, scrutinize his/her character much more carefully than you would a white.
(10h) Do not act the Good Samaritan to blacks in apparent distress, e.g., on the highway.
