Look For The Asterisk*

Free Republic has a list of 135 of the members of JournoList, Ezra Klein's private cabal of leftist journalists, bloggers, and academics.

It would be a good policy for all good conservatives/Republicans to bookmark this list and, when a news report comes out written by one of these JournoListers, mark the person's name with an asterisk and the following disclaimer:

* indicates membership in JournoList, and thus not to be trusted to be objective.

Let's make this a badge of shame, so that the JournoListers involved have to constantly justify themselves and prove their objectivity.

Excellent suggestion.

It sounds like a reasonable suggestion, but you might want to read this opinion from a conservative writer in the American Spectator: http://spectator.org/blog/2010/07/23/journolist-ic-ethics
It's not exculpatory by any means, but it puts things in a reasonable perspective.

@wally: I'm a simple man, Walt, with a simple man's prejudices and biases, so I think that I'll be disinclined to give JournoList members the benefit of the doubt. The Daily Caller doesn't have the complete JournoList email archive despite the AmSpec writer's claim to the contrary; if they did, all 400+ names would have been published by now, and even more examples of JournoLister malpractice would be forthcoming.

Boy, are you selling simple people short, Bob! I have more faith in their ability to assimilate information that may not fit their prejudices.

The thrust of the American Spectator article was not about how many names of Journolisters have been revealed. It was that it might be wise to tone down the rhetoric a bit, since this kind of behavior has been standard practice on both sides of the aisle for some time now. That sounds like good advice, for simple and complex people alike.
