I wonder how many committees and meetings they will have over this. Those trees have been there for thousands of years, I'm sure some have fallen in the past... ;)
Cut it where the path goes thru and be done with it.
It will never occur to them how valuable that wood is to a lumber yard. They won't consider how many jobs will be created cutting it up and using it to build patio furniture, decorative fences and decks. They are going to find some way to let it all just rot, no matter how much it costs the taxpayers.
Pissed stole my thunder. There will be so many meetings to discuss what should be done that the tree will rot before any action is taken.
