No need for me to pile on to the deputy here; if he's a certified instructor, he's got to be feeling about 2 inches tall about now. He's probably been feeling sick to his stomach about it all day.

This was the kind of stuff that happened on my last deployment. Trained people (soldiers) casually allowing the muzzle to cover anything, because they were sure it was unloaded. There were 13 negligent discharges in my brigade by the time the year was over. Training doesn't help much if people over-rate their abilities.
