Project, Much?

On page A-1 of today's Charlotte Observer:

City Shows Hunger For Convention.

That's the 2012 Democrat National Convention, in case you're wondering. Actually, that headline needs a little work:

City Liberal Rag Shows Hunger For Convention.

There, that's more accurate.

There's also a poll that reflects just how much the Observer is projecting its own desires regarding the convention:

And the comments from the local Republicans ain't enthusiastic. *laughs*

Robert, I know you wear your hatred of the MSM like a badge of honor, but do you actually read the articles you trash? It's as clear as the nose on your face that the article is saying the city fathers/boosters/business interests are going out of their way to woo the convention because they know it's good for business. The article is about these enthusiastic efforts, not about a popularity contest. Most people understand that a city that woos lucrative convention business is not endorsing a political party.

@wally: Walt, The Charlotte Observer's wooing of the National Rifle Association convention included a headline Welcome To Charlotte: Don't Shoot! Some conventions will be wooed more enthusiastically than others, based not on how many people attend (the NRA brought twice what the Dems will) but upon ideological grounds. The NRA, by the way, is the organization that Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan likened to the Ku Klux Klan.

Since, in this case, the wooing is being done by city fathers and prominent corporations, your anger should more properly be directed at them and not the messenger.
