A Fungus Among Us

A deadly fungus. As in fatal. As in kill your ass.

the outbreak expanded into...Washington and Oregon from 2005 to 2009

So...we've had 21 cases resulting in about 5 deaths in the US...in FOUR YEARS.

More people than that drown in their own bathtubs in a week.

And this is newsworthy for what reason?

Aaaaah, the inevitable punch line:

Freezing can kill the fungus and climate change may be helping it spread, the researchers said.
